Ordered no smoking room. Smelled like someone smoked in it right before we got there. The bathtub had mold around the handles. The bathtub curtain was covered in mold and it's questionable when the last time it was washed. My daughter asked if she could get food out of the fridge in the morning. To our shock and horror there was food left in there from a past guest. Thank God she didn't just assume it was ours and eat it. The person at the desk said they couldn't do anything besides give me 20.00 off and I couldn't speak to a manager for a week. I'm still waiting to call the manager( about 4 days left). I will be contacting Corp as soon as I get a chance.
Chec-In was a fairly routine process, Staff (Mike) was very nice, friendly, and helpful. We actually received an upgrade to a Pioneer Suite. Room was very clean, loved the log cabin feel and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it the next morning. Which by the way is the only negative. Room was quiet. Breakfast per my husband was fairly decent!
When I made the reservations, they didn't say that they had no elevator. I have trouble going up the stairs. When we got there at 2pm, they gave us a second floor. I said that I had trouble doing the stairs. I asked if they had a room on the first floor. They said that they did not. My husband then said that we will check another hotel. The girl at the desk then said that they would have to charge us for the room anyway. She had no compassion on how had the stairs were for me.
My family stays at this hotel about once a year when we visit relatives. Nice hotel and they have started updating the hotel. I like the indoor outdoor pool. The rooms were clean but could use a good deep cleaning.
The rooms are very nice. The best part of the stay was the staff though. Carol, the breakfast attendant was so nice and made sure everyone eating got what they needed.
