I have enjoyed my visits to Governor Dodge. There are quite a few trails, some hills, and neat rock outcroppings in this section of the Driftless Area. The downside is that Governor Dodge gets quite crowded, although during my last visit I did not see another person, but it was below zero too.

Trails are wide and well maintained, Varied terrain, some heavily Rocky sections, shoes or hoof boots recommend. Lots of fun for a day or weekend trail ride. Open easy in and out parking area for horse trailers. Mounting block at day parking g lot.

Incredible! Beautiful lakes, trees, and trails. My wife and I came here for a ride on our mountain bikes. Expecting flat and monotonous we were treated with steep climbs, fun descents and really nice views. These are not single track trails but paths shared with hikers and horses. Try it. you will like it.

This was our first time camping there. What a beautiful area, wow! The camping sites were well maintained and ample size. The hiking trails were properly marked and groomed. The beach area at the lake we went to (there are two lakes) was very clean you could see all the way to the bottom clearly, but be prepared, the water is glacier ice cold. Very refreshing on a hot day.

This park is amazing! The campsite in the cox hollow campground are huge and the best for folks with tents and kids. Playgrounds are good sized. Two large lakes with clean swimming beaches, even a dog beach and picnic area. Excellent hikes that can be difficult or easy depending on what your skill level is. Hikes that lead to a nice cave or waterfall are some of the things you can expect to find at this amazing park.
